Levi shows off the Reggae Reggae pasty

Levi shows off the Reggae Reggae pasty

West Cornwall Pasty Co brings back Levi's Reggae Reggae Pasty

2nd September 2010, 3:51pm

The West Cornwall Pasty Co is bringing Levi Roots' Reggae Reggae pasty back onto its menus after the spicy snack “struck a chord with customers”.

The pasty was originally launched as a limited edition product earlier this year and will now be available in all 74 outlets across the UK.

The pasty contains chicken, red pepper, potato, onion, tomato, pineapple, jerk seasoning and Reggae Reggae cooking sauce.

Operations director Neil Dookun said: "The Reggae Reggae pasty struck a real chord with our customers and was a resounding success when we launched it in February. In fact, as a nation we munched on some 20,000 of them in just over two months, showing that variety really is the spice of life when it comes to Cornish pasties.

"It's a real pleasure to work with Levi and such a flourishing brand with which we share great affinity, and we're thrilled to welcome the much anticipated return of the Reggae Reggae pasty."

Levi Roots added: "The Reggae Reggae pasty is a fantastic twist on a traditional product - it's so wonderful to see a fusion of flavours from Cornwall and the Caribbean and I'm delighted to see it back."

The Reggae Reggae pasty returns to West Cornwall Pasty Co from the beginning of September.

congrats on your new pasty. Pity we could not have come up with something like that for courtlands. Good to hear your doing so well.

Have your say!
