wagamama launches online takeout concept

Pan-asian noodle restaurant chain wagamama is the first UK eatery to launch a fully integrated online facility for take out orders.

At www.wagamamatakeout.com  customers can now place and pay for a take-out order for collection, specifying what time they want to pick up their noodles. The purpose of the site is to speed up the ordering process by cutting out unnecessary interaction.

Steve Hill, chief executive officer of wagamama, commented on the new site: "This online take-out portal is unique because it is directly connected to our micros till system, which zaps the order through to the kitchen 15 minutes prior to the specified pick-up time where it is then prepared."

To make the process even more efficient, customers can create an account to record their details so they can easily order again.

Hill continued: "wagamama has always looked to new technologies to deliver fast service so it only makes sense that we offer a fully integrated online ordering facility that's focused on the customer experience."
