von Essen wins another four accolades

16th November 2009, 9:45am

The von Essen hotel group has scooped another four accolades at the Condé Nast Johansens Awards for Excellence 2010 held in London last week.

The awards highlighted the collection's overall contribution to the tourism industry.

von Essen's executive director of sales and marketing, Greg Ward commented: "It is a great honour to be recognised yet again this year in another prestigious awards ceremony.

"The four awards highlight our ongoing appeal at all levels from Europe with the stunning Chateau de Bagnols to our recently refurbished UK based country house hotel Bishopstrow House. It is also a real honour to be recognised for our wine lists, something we take very seriously with dedicated sommeliers at our hotels."

Meanwhile the 'Most Excellent Hotel' award was awarded to the Chateau de Bagnols in Bagnols in France. The 'Most Excellent Country House Hotel' went to the recently refurbished Bishopstrow House in Wiltshire meanwhile in the Champagne Taittinger Wine List Award categories both Buckland Manor and Sharrow Bay were awarded for 'Best Selection of Champagne' and 'Special Commendation Digestiv List' accordingly.

The von Essen group also scooped the hotel chain of the year title at the British Travel awards ceremony last week.
