Lunch! Show reveals 40% increase in pre-registered visitors

7th September 2010, 11:50am

lunch!, the UK's food-to-go trade show, has revealed it is 40% up on pre-registered visitors compared with the same time last year.

Thousands of trade buyers and senior decision-makers from the out of home food industry have already pre-registered for this year's show, which returns to London's Old Billingsgate later this month on 30 September-1 October.

Carsten Holm, managing director of the show's organiser Diversified Business Communications UK, said: "What's perhaps even more impressive than sheer numbers alone is the exceptional quality of the attendees planning to visit.

"We've got key buyers ranging from Harrods and Fortnum & Mason to all the major supermarkets and multiples, as well as the leading contract caterers, wholesalers and distributors.

"In addition, a large number of specialist caterers have registered to attend, including many universities, hospitals, airlines, attractions and so on – plus, of course, hundreds of quality independents.  And we are still four weeks away from opening day.  Anyone and everyone within the grab and go market is going to be here.  It's going to be a very busy show!"

In total, nearly 150 exhibitors will take part in lunch! 2010, where they will demonstrate  products, services and technologies, to over 3000 industry buyers from all the major food-to-go chains, supermarkets, contract caterers and quality independents.

Companies planning to attend so far include EAT, Pret a Manger, Ocado, Starbucks and Subway.
