Speaking at the company's annual general meeting (AGM) Page added that sales had bounced back during August after the World Cup lull.
The statement confirmed some new openings and described the roll-out programme as "progressing well".
GBK has opened in Nottingham and two further sites are under construction including one at The O2 complex in Greenwich which opens later today and one at the Trafford Centre, Manchester, due to open in October. One further site has also been secured for the current financial year.
The AGM did touch on the news that broke back in July, when the Board confirmed it had received a takeover offer.
Page couldn't shed any further light on the situation, saying: "The Board remains in discussions with the potential offeror but there can be no certainty that an offer will be made for the Company or the terms on which such an offer may be made. A further announcement will be made in due course, as appropriate."
