Zilli Café launches all new ‘Zilli Bites’ menu after refurbishment

6th June 2011, 12:48pm

Aldo Zilli's iconic Soho eatery, Zilli Cafe on Brewer Street, is launching an all new 'Zilli Bites' menu, following a refurbishment of the venue, full alcohol licence and al fresco pavement space.

The new menu will be available throughout the day till 10pm and offers a range of Italian small plates, or 'bites', which take their influence from traditional fresh Italian deli ingredients, such as Bruschetta with Tomato, Basil and Garlic (£2.50) or a selection board of Calabrese Salami, Taleggio and Olives (£5).

Guests can dine at the new bar counter space overlooking the kitchen, people watch by the large windows overlooking the Soho streets, or if the weather is warm, sit outside to soak up the Soho cafe culture.

The menu includes Aldo's no carb Breadless Sandwiches of Parma Ham, Rocket, Gorgonzola and Walnuts (£4.50) or Iceberg Lettuce Wrap with Grilled Chicken and Pancetta (£4.50).

For those in need of something more substantial, there is a delicious range of fresh pasta dishes, including Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli with Butter and Sage sauce (£9.90) or Lobster Ravioli with Shellfish Sauce (£9.90), as well as Aldo's classic gourmet Fish & Chips (£9.90).

Throughout the summer months, there is a selection of barbequed fish, meat and vegetables on the menu from the al fresco barbecue grill.

The Cafe is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There are regularly changing, seasonal dishes and an extensive wine and Prosecco list, as well as some retro
Italian drink classics, such as Cynar, Aperol and Martini.

Zilli said: "My cafe is well known to Soho regulars and locals, and over the years has become part of the landscape on Brewer Street. With our new full alcohol licence, I wanted to design a menu that would be easy to eat but using the best quality Italian ingredients, so guests can pop in for a light bite or stay for some good Italian wine and a leisurely meal with friends."
