Yuforia says it has come up with a different concept to the current branding of other yoghurt shops. The branding of Yuforia is a result of research done by Leo Bedford, a young entrepreneur along with designer Thurston Waterworth.
"We wanted to create a completely unique customer experience and to make a space which didn't echo the "plastic fantastic" image that had previously been done. Everything in Yuforia reflects the product through the word natural, with a strong focus on taste, which really appeals to our customers," explained Leo Bedford, director, Yuforia.
Inside the shop, the walls are covered with plants and brick, the chairs are made in wood and the spoons, straws, and smoothie cups are made from plant starch. Yuforia concentrates on being as environmentally responsible as is possible, and a brand which reflects this positioning and the product simultaneously.
The spoon, straws and cups are bio--degradable, and once chucked in the flower bed, they will be gone in six weeks.
The yoghurts are live, made with fresh British skimmed milk and are between 70-100 calories each and full of protein.
Beak Street is the second location after of Yuforia to open after the original Covent Garden site which launched in June 2009, and Leo Bedford is looking for to open more stores both in house, and via franchising, in the UK and internationally.
