Monkbar hotel director June Nelsey said: "I'm delighted to that we are working in 'tandem' with Bob Trotters as York is a fabulous city to cycle around and from the saddle you do get to see so much more of the city and its history.
"You can just stop whenever there is something to see and there's lots of bike parking now around the city.
"The Millennium Cycleway is on our doorstep, which is another superb route enabling guests to go beyond the city walls and see some of the surrounding countryside."
Paul Trotter from Bob Trotter Cycles, added: "We are delighted to have formed this partnership with June and the Monkbar Hotel team. We have cycles to suit guests of all ages and sizes, as well as providing helmets and visibility strips.
"We even have a tandem bike available for couples, perfect for those honeymooning in the city."
The hotel is currently working towards gaining the Green Tourism Silver Award.
