Duck Udon Soup
The new winter menu is broken down by Volume 1 and Volume 2. 'Kill Chill Volume 1' is now available at all restaurants (except YO! Sushi Heathrow T3 and YO! Sushi Selfridges London) and includes two soup dishes and a YO! favourite salad.
Delights include garlic pepper edamame; soy beans with garlic soy, black pepper and shichimi chilli powder, beef curry udon soup; slices of beef, carrots, onion and udon noodles in curry broth with beni shoga (red picked ginger), prawn korroke; crispy Japanese breaded prawn and potato croquettes with kimchee mayonnaise, and duck udon soup; slices of duck, shiitake, carrot, onion and udon noodles in dashi broth with coriander and red chilli.
Mike Lewis, YO! Sushi's development chef said: "We pride ourselves on constantly developing innovative recipes and are dedicated to creating great tasting Japanese inspired food, freshly prepared from both quality and nutritional ingredients. This new seasonal menu is yet another exciting selection of dishes designed to expand diner's palates and turn up the heat this winter."
YO! Sushi is based on the concept of a Japanese 'kaiten' (conveyor belt) sushi bar from which customers can help themselves to colour-coded dishes (priced between £1.70 and £5.00) and order their drinks via airline-style call buttons.
With over 90 Japanese inspired dishes, of which 35% are hot or cooked dishes and 25% vegetarian, diners can choose from traditional sushi classics like sashimi, rolls, maki and nigiri, but also delicious hot classics (such as Chicken Katsu Curry, Salmon Teriyaki and Vegetable Yakisoba), salads, hand rolls, tempura and desserts.
