Women's beer tour at Great British Beer Festival

31st July 2008, 12:43pm

Next week's Great British Beer Festival the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) is offering over 170 women the chance to win a Girl's Guide to the Great British beer Festival which takes women on a guided tour led by beer expert Melissa Cole.

Women who haven't tried real ale before or who are inexperienced real ale drinkers are being invited to take part in the walk by logging onto www.camra.org.uk/page.aspx?o=280895 before tomorrow noon (1 August).

The walks will begin at 6.30pm on Tuesday 5 August, followed by the tours on Wednesday (6 August), Thursday (7 August) and Friday (8 August). Melissa will take visitors through as many of the different beer styles as possible, explaining their flavours and attributes, whilst adding some history along the way.

A girl's guide to the Great British Beer Festival information sheet will also be available at the information stand at the event.

The festival is run by CAMRA every year at Earls Court in London and runs from 5-9 August.
