It is listed alongside 45 other companies in the book, 'Britain's Top Employers 2009'.
The book aims to "identify, accredit and laud British companies with a demonstrable commitment to and track record in talent management best practice on annual basis."
Companies are analysed on a range of criteria, including corporate social responsibility, performance management, diversity management, reward and recognition, employee development and talent management and engagement.
Wetherspoon was rated highly on:
pay and benefits
training and development
career development
working conditions
company culture
The company's biggest plus, according to the book's researchers, was "a fast-paced business environment with plenty of opportunities for career development."
Wetherspoon's personnel and legal director, Su Cacioppo, said: "We are immensely proud of the fact that the company is once again named as one of Britain's Top Employers. The fact that Wetherspoon is the only pub company listed in the book, and that this is the sixth successive year it has featured, is an excellent achievement."
