The 30-bedroom, 16th Century former coaching inn, which is situated on the town's High Street, comprises a 40-cover lounge bar, a 60-cover café bar, a 30-cover breakfast room and a ballroom with capacity for 150.
Mr Silva, who has been granted a new 10-year lease for the business, currently operates two other hotels, one of which is located in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.
Westbourne Leisure owns and operates over 30 pubs, restaurants and hotels spread across the Midlands.
Gavin Wright, Director of Christie + Co, said: "We are delighted to have been able to let the Talbot Inn on behalf of Westbourne Leisure to Mr Silva, who plans to refurbish the hotel throughout. His experience from running his other hotels will help increase the trade and bring new ideas to the business."
