West Hampstead wine bar sold after 26 years

The Number 77 Restaurant and Wine Bar in West Hampstead has been sold for an undisclosed sum through property agent Christie + Co, after 26 years.

The establishment is a 90-cover restaurant and bar occupying two retail units, with a flat above and an al fresco dining area for 10 people.

Daniel Arnold, location manager of Christie + Co, commented on the former owners: "Our clients, Mr Dewhurst, Mr Blakemore and Mr Price, established Number 77 in 1982 and are now retiring from the restaurant and wine bar trade. They developed an excellent reputation locally for the quality of their food and service, and also catered for small functions in the private dining area."

The premises have been sold to a local investor who made the deal more financially viable by arranging more than one type of finance.
