Well-presented Essex freehold marketed on behalf of Foundation Inns

26th August 2010, 9:42am

Acting on behalf of Foundation Inns, Christie + Co is marketing the freehold of the White Horse pub in Chelmsford, Essex, with offers in the region of £395,000 sought.

Located in the town centre, just north of the main railway station, the White Horse is a traditional wet-led pub, which features an open plan bar, games area, patio to the rear and two-bedroom owner's accommodation.

Bill Colquhoun, director at Christie + Co, said: "Well presented after being refurbished in January 2009, the White Horse is well-situated to draw trade from the local community, town centre and visitors to Chelmsford. The pub, which provides a great opportunity to grow sales due to high density of housing, and proximity to station, offices and car park, is priced to sell and represents great value.

"Therefore we expect this established business to generate significant levels of enquiries leading to a number of offers."

Foundation Inns, which is headed by Gavin Drew and Ian Grundy, was established in 2007 and currently operates six pubs – five freeholds and one leasehold – spread across the South and East of England.
