Von Essen appoints new general manager for The Elms Hotel & Spa

von Essen hotels has appointed Martin Newbould as general manager for The Elms Hotel & Spa in Worcestershire.

Newbould joins von Essen with more than 14 years experience in the hotel and hospitality industry. He will be responsible for developing the hotel within the Luxury Family brand and growing the conference and wedding market for 2011.

Justin Hickman, regional operations manager, von Essen hotels, commented: "We are delighted to have Martin join von Essen hotels in our Luxury Family set. I am confident that he will develop the business in Worcestershire and re-establish the hotel as a premium wedding venue in the area."

Newbould's previous positions include operations manager at Hoxton Hotel in London and hotel manager of the May Fair Hotel, London, part of the Radisson Edwardian Group.
