Von Essen appoints new general manager

von Essen hotels has appointed David Williams as general manager for the Ickworth Hotel & Apartments, part of the Luxury Family Hotel group.

Williams will be responsible for the smooth running of the whole of The Ickworth hotel, which will encompass strategically driving the business forward and delivering and maintaining the hotel's status as one of the best family friendly hotels in the country.

Nick Romano, chief executive officer of von Essen hotels, commented on the new appointment: "The Luxury Family Hotels brand continues to build it's reputation as the leading luxury hotel group dedicated to the needs of the family - we are confident that David will use his wealth of experience to develop the profile of the Ickworth and the Luxury Family Hotel brand to drive sales across all market segments."
 
Williams joins von Essen with more than 35 years experience in the hotel and hospitality industry. His most recent position was general manager at Cambridge Belfry, Cambridge's highest rated four star hotel. 

He was also previously general manager at Norfolk's Premiere Golf Resort Hotel, Barnham Broom and Herefordshire highest rated four star hotel, West Lodge Park.
