Von Essen appoints new executive general manager

von Essen hotels has announced the appointment of Bernard Bloodworth as executive general manager for Seaham Hall, County Durham.

Bloodworth's role will include driving the business forward and delivering and maintaining the hotel's prestigious status as one of the best country house hotels in the UK.

Bloodworth joins the hotel with more than 24 years experience in the hotel and hospitality industry. His most recent position was at McDonald Linden Hall in Northumberland where he held the position of general manager. Previous positions also include being director for Linden Hall Hotel and general manager at Close House Mansion in Newcastle.

Nick Romano, ceo of von Essen hotels, commented: "von Essen is committed to investing in the best people which is why we are delighted to welcome Bernard to Seaham Hall. Bernard brings with him a wealth of experience and we are confident he will drive sales at Seaham Hall across all market segments."
