A restaurant and freehouse located within a restored Victorian pumphouse in the New River Village development in Hornsey, is up for grabs for £2 million.

Constructed in 1903as a hydraulic pumping station, the Pumphouse restaurant provides a stylish and contemporary eating experience offering international cuisine.

The property provides 120 internal and 50 external covers. The ground floor houses a bar and restaurant with an open theatre-style kitchen at the back, another large dining space on the mezzanine level and an outside decked area.

Daniel Arnold, location manager of Christie + Co's Enfield office, who is handling the sale, commented: "Our clients,  the Sumal family, are experienced builders' merchants who purchased The Pumphouse in 2005 as a shell unit and remodelled it as a stylish and contemporary restaurant."

He added: "After nearly three years of good trading as a modern neighbourhood restaurant in the heart of Hornsey, Rav Sumal and his family have now decided to sell the restaurant in order to concentrate on their builders' merchants business, CNS."

The site is held on a 999-year lease.
