The landlord received the visit as a prize for winning the Redtooth Shooting Stars fantasy football competition after beating off stiff competition from thousands of players throughout the UK.
During the special guest visit Scottish licensee Denis McGinley was subjected to a little good-natured ribbing over his own home nation failing to qualify for this summer's tournament in South Africa but the landlord took the comments in his stride saying: "I was over the moon when I found out I'd won, it was a phenomenal prize and there's absolutely no better way of kicking off the World Cup than having Martin visit."
