Unique restaurant concepts among the new names signed at Westfield Stratford City

26th August 2011, 7:03am

With just over two weeks to go before Westfield Stratford City opens on 13th September, the capital’s largest retail, food and leisure destination has confirmed the restaurants that will make up The Balcony.

There will be 14-fully licensed outlets offering a line-up of international cuisines.

Options include noodles by Pho, salads from Tossed, Japanese via Yo! Sushi, authentic Neapolitan pizza courtesy of Franco Manca and Middle Eastern delights from Comptoir Libanais.

Brand new concepts include Indian street food operator Indi-go and Caribbean specialists Rhythm Kitchen.

The dining area will combine open cooking and communal eating allowing food that is cooked to order to be served quickly - accommodating over 1100 people at any one time.

Meanwhile, environmentally friendly china, complemented by high quality glassware and stainless steel cutlery, support Westfield's sustainable credentials.

Bill Giouroukos, director of Operations for Westfield said: "Westfield Stratford City is all about bringing together the best of London's eclectic dining offer under one roof and these brands are testament to this. We are delighted to have attracted such exciting operators to this area, each of which will present visitors with a different and exciting space in which to refuel and re-energise."

The Balcony is just one element of Westfield Stratford City's dining offer, which will comprise over 70 places to eat and drink across four distinct areas.

The Mezzanine casual dining area will feature some of the UK's leading restaurants, Wagamama, Las Iguanas and Giraffe among them; the lower ground Food Court will include popular operators such as Harry Ramsden's, Sticky Rice and Crêpeaffaire while The Great Eastern Market is a totally original and contemporary take on the traditional food market.

The Balcony restaurants are:

Pho
Tossed
Caffé Concerto
Comptoir Libanais
YO! Sushi
Franco Manca
Indi-Go
Rhythm Kitchen
Lotus Leaf
Chip+Fish
Chicago Rib Shack
Tortilla
Rosa's
