Travelodge gains contracts worth £18.4 million

Travelodge budget hotel chain has unveiled the exchange of contracts on five new hotel development sites worth £18.4 million.

A 60-bedroom hotel will be located opposite Chester's Roman Amphitheatre and will represent a £3 million investment.

The second is a 90-room hotel in the Devonshire seaside resort of Torquay. It will be located on Newton Road and will invest £3.6 million.

Situated next to Wolverhampton Football Club, the third hotel will sleep up to 99 people and will be worth a huge £5 million.

The fourth hotel will be found in Aberdeen and will create 30 new jobs. The 120-bedroom establishment will be worth a £4.8 million investment.

And finally, the fifth site is in Lowestoft – a 47 bedroom hotel located on Yarmouth Road, representing £2.3 million.

The five new hotels will add an extra 416 family and double rooms.
