The William Gladstone on North John Street in Liverpool, named after the 19th Century, 4-time Prime Minister who was born in the area, opened on Thursday 3 June.
This Thursday 10 June, will see the launch of The William Blake, on Old Street in London, whose namesake was the 18th Century poet.
Both pubs focus its offering on value food, quality cask ales, competitively priced wine list, and sporting action available via Sky 3D, Sky and Freeview as well as entertainment throughout the week.
The pubs will offer customers best-on-the-high-street deals. Both will be showing all the World Cup action and will include, amongst other deals, a specially brewed World Cup ale, 'Golden Goal'.
George Wright, responsible for marketing at Town and City Pub Company said: "These two pub openings form part of a strategy at Town and City of identifying pubs whose market and location have a strong local identity. With this in mind we chose to re-name the pubs to honour great historical figures from these areas, giving each pub greater flexibility to be individual and attract clientele who enjoy what a traditional pub can offer."
