The final of this year's regional hospitality management briefing, which was delivered by the Institute of Hospitality and the Master Innholders in collaboration with the British Hospitality Association and Springboard UK, took place at Ashdown Park Hotel and Country Club, East Sussex recently.
The briefings offered the industry's leading bodies the chance to unite and share insider updates on important government and trade initiatives at events throughout the UK over a four-month period.
The briefings, which are described as essential to any hotelier, general or departmental manager, provided "digestible and practical information that is tailored to a specific region" which covers important topics including lobbying and legislation. Other topics included the careers climate and maintaining professionalism and excellence.
Each briefing also featured a local speaker concentrating on issues relevant to the tourism and regional hospitality environment.
Chief executive of the Institute of Hospitality, Philippe Rossiter said: "The Institute has once again been delighted to be involved in the delivery of this popular series of sessions aimed at providing hospitality managers from around the country with useful and pertinent updates on matters which have a direct impact on their business performance. We look forward to continuing with this initiative in 2011."
