The Great British Beer Festival returns to London

12th May 2010, 10:34am

CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale, has revealed that its flagship event, the Great British Beer Festival, is due to kick off in less than three months time.

Last year a staggering 64,000 people attended Earl's Court over the five days, sampling over 500 different real ales, ciders and perries.

As well as serving the best real brews from around the UK, visitors will be able to sample beers from nations such as Germany, Belgium, Italy, USA, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands.

There will also be a live music line-up, a range of catering options including traditional pub snacks, classic pub games, and the chance to join a beer expert on a tutored tasting.

This year, renowned experts Roger Protz, Melissa Cole, Jeff Evans, Christine Cryne and a 'Meet the Brewer' session hosted by the Society of Independent Brewers Association (SIBA) will complete the line-up.

In addition, the Champion Beer of Britain finals will take place at the festival on Tuesday August 3rd.

The festival will take place from 3-7 August.
