A hotel in the heart of rural Aberdeenshire has been placed on the market through Christie + Co.

The Edinburgh Office of agents, Christie + Co, has been appointed to sell a seven-bedroom hotel near Lumphanan in the heart of rural Aberdeenshire.

The Crossroads Hotel, as the name suggests, sits at a predominant road junction on the B9119 and is well positioned to capture passing trade, as well as serving the local communities.

The original property is thought to date from around the early 1800s and has been extended over the years, with the main letting accommodation located on the ground floor and the spacious three-bedroom owner's accommodation on the first floor. The public bar has its own entrance, as well as being accessed from the hotel, and there is a small lounge bar, which leads through to an open plan 32-cover restaurant overlooking the surrounding countryside. An additional restaurant area can also be used as a small function room to accommodate 34 covers.

Offers over £425,000 are being sought for the freehold interest of the Crossroads Hotel.
