The Coach & Horses hosts foodie pub quiz for charity

1st July 2008, 4:34pm

The Coach & Horses gastropub in Clerkenwell will be hosting a foodie-themed pub quiz next Wednesday (9 July) to raise money for Action Against Hunger.

The teams on the night will be hosted by some renowned food lovers who will be tested on their favourite subject.  The evening will kick off at 7pm.

Tickets cost £10 with all proceeds going to Action Against Hunger.

As well as a chance to win a magnum of Champagne, there will be a raffle to win a meal for four at the eatery. And on top of this, Coach & Horses will be donating 50% of all food bills on the evening to charity.

The team at the venue have set a minimum fund raising target of £500.

Pauline Llorca, Action Against Hunger representative, commented on the event: "We are very excited about getting involved with The Coach & Horses, and the quiz night is a really fun way of raising money for thousands of malnourished children and their families around the world – the money raised will help continue the charity's worldwide programmes."
