The Newbridge will remain open as Celtic Manor takes over. It is the first acquisition made by the five star resort outside its 1,400-acre estate near Newport in South Wales.
Celtic Manor Resort chief executive Dylan Matthews, said: "Over the years the Newbridge on Usk has earned a deserved reputation for the quality of its food and drink and we look forward to building on that success. The restaurant has a very loyal following and we want to reassure regular customers that it is very much business as usual.
"The Newbridge is in a wonderful position right beside the river and I am sure it will prove very popular with guests staying at The Celtic Manor Resort. It also offers us a fantastic alternative venue to host corporate events and weddings."
The 80-cover restaurant, offering locally sourced produce, features rustic wooden floors, fireplaces, traditional bar, a mezzanine and terraced gardens for al fresco dining alongside the river.
The property also includes six bedrooms, all featuring oak and teak furniture, oak floors, digital TV and internet connection.
