First time restaurateur Alicia Whitby was inspired by the concept 'Assemblage' (meaning 'a work of art made by grouping together found or unrelated objects').
Taking on the challenge alongside Alicia is chef James Knight-Pacheco who will take on the role of head chef. Dishes will be sourced mainly from the South West.
Whitby commented: "I am very excited that Assemblage, which I have lived and breathed for the past six months, is finally coming to fruition. The unique concept is very true to my heart, and I believe that the underlying theme of art and food is such an endless subject – and one that the diner will hopefully appreciate too."
Knight-Pacheco added: "When Alicia approached me with the idea of Assemblage, I was immediately drawn to the concept – and the challenge of using traditional art tools in the kitchen.
"Having worked with some of the best chefs in the world, I'm looking forward to taking on the mantle of head chef myself, and where better to do so than in lively, eclectic Shoreditch?! Assemblage is an extension of this diverse and creative borough and I can't wait to get started."
