Ten reasons to visit IFE

Below is just a snapshot of why this year's IFE is an event that can not be missed.

IFE is the UK's largest food trade event and is the next global food and drink event in the industry's diary. IFE09 will be a true showcase of serious, unrivalled ground-breaking innovation and the launch pad for new products.

Foodservice will account for nearly one third of the show, and should not be underestimated by anyone serious about sourcing new food and drink product.

The Skillery, run in association with the Craft Guild of Chefs and sponsored by Silver Hill Foods, will be hosted at IFE09. Featuring a live cookery demonstration area incorporating the latest and most innovative new flavour trends, menu designs and cutting edge cooking styles, The Skillery will offer a seriously 'up-close-and-personal' insight into the latest developments in foodservice from top chefs and innovators in the pub trade.

The current economic climate means it has never been more important to recognise ways to drive down cost and innovate to add more value to customers. The Skillery will explore how this will be possible in the foodservice industry; whether it is looking at cheaper, previously under-used cuts of meat or ways in which to add valuable points of difference to your menu.

Gain an insight into trends, forecasts and key issues affecting the food service industry at Future Trends. Located within general food in the north hall, the unmissable free-to-attend sessions are a key information resource for buyers in the foodservice sector.

With so many new products and suppliers in one place IFE offers the most cost efficient and effective way to keep pace with the foodservice industry saving hours of internet research and meetings.

Foodservice operators interested in local sourcing and provenance can take advantage of the Speciality and Regional Food from Britain section, which will showcase some of the best quality regional and artisan products from across the UK.

For those wanting to add an international flavour to their menus, Walk the World will provide a unique opportunity in the UK to source new and exciting global produce from over 45 countries and the opportunity to meet suppliers that you may never have had the chance to meet in person.

It is an unrivalled opportunity to network within the industry. IFE09 is set to attract over 1,200 food and drink suppliers, including approximately 600 from outside the UK, all bringing a host of the world's most innovative and new products to the market.

It is free to attend if you register before the event!
