Talbot Inn wins first AA rosette

The Talbot Inn in Ripley, Surrey, has been awarded its first AA rosette within six months of launching.

The coveted AA rosette is awarded to 'excellent restaurants that stand out in their local area, where the food is prepared with care, understanding and skill, using good-quality ingredients'.

The kitchen team, headed by Ian Richards, produces food that is described as 'simply sensational'.

Modern British seasonal dishes on the menu includes pan roasted Cornish scallops, currently offered with spiced pork belly, pak choi and coriander & chili dressing, and its roasted rump of local lamb with ratatouille tart, confit garlic mash & olive sauce.

Other pub classics include Conisbee's pork and leek sausages, savoy cabbage & bacon with mashed potatoes.

General manager Paul Dixon commented on their success: "We are absolutely delighted with this award, and we are proud to have achieved it in such a short time. This first recognition means a lot to us as a team, and it is spurring us on to continue to serve our customers with the very best of British every day."
