8th February 2010, 12:30pm

Property agent Christie + Co has sold the freehold interest of the Duke William public house in Burslem, Staffordshire, to local pub operator Sunset Taverns Ltd for an undisclosed sum.

Situated in the corner of a retail square in the market town of Burslem, the three-storey end of terrace pub comprises a 30-cover bar, 50-cover lounge, 100-cover first-floor function room with bar servery, and three-bedroom owner's accommodation.

Sunset Taverns Ltd currently owns another six pubs in the Staffordshire area.

Gavin Wright, director of Christie + Co, said: "Following our successful marketing campaign, we sold the property to an experienced operator who plans to refurbish the premises throughout and resume trading as a public house."
