St James's Hotel and Club expands its sales team

Kate Dixon has been appointed as sales and marketing director of the five star St James's Hotel and Club in London.

Dixon, who will join the team with immediate effect, joins the venture with over 10 years sales experience in the hotel and hospitality industry. Her most recent position was at the Franklin Hotel in London, where she held the position of director of sales and marketing, managing the pre-opening for the hotel.

Previous positions include two years at Conrad London as assistant director of sales & marketing; director of corporate & business travel heading up the sales representation of 100 luxury hotels in 22 countries for Concorde hotels; corporate sales manager at Chelsea Village Hotels and different sales positions at The Rembrandt Hotel in London.

Mark Allvey, former global sales and marketing director at Rocco Forte Hotels, has also been appointed as sales consultant for St James's Hotel and Club. Also starting with immediate effect, Allvey will act as consultant for the hotel until further notice.

Henrik Muehle, managing director, said: "We are delighted to welcome Kate to the St James's team at this crucial time. The hotel is still in its first year following the reopening last autumn and we are pleased to have Kate on board to help further establish our brand in both leisure and corporate markets. She has a wealth of very relevant experience, not only within the hospitality industry but also within the London market.

"We are confident that Kate will successfully drive sales and develop partnerships to promote St James's Hotel and Club across all market segments. I am of course also delighted to be able to draw upon Mark Allvey's expertise over the coming months and I look forward to working together with the new Sales team to streamline and refine the overall sales and marketing strategy for the hotel."
