The offer coincides with Kids Week and runs from 13 August until 3 September. To qualify for the deal one paying adult must select a meal from the a-la-carte menu and this will entitle one child aged 10 and under to choose a free meal from the children's menu.
The restaurants that are participating in the offer are 30 at St Martin's Lane, WC2 near Trafalger Square and at Spaghetti House 3, which is situated at Brassenden Place, Victoria, SW1.
The concept is described by the company as "family-friendly, informal and welcoming." The offer allows mums and dads to enjoy a glass of wine and plate of pasta, a summer main course salad or a sharing platter while the kids get to eat from their own dedicated menu.
Spaghetti House describes its kid's menu as featuring the same dishes – with the same taste – as the adult menu but in smaller portions. They say their child diners particularly enjoy ceci calabresi – chickpeas with spicy Italian sausage, bruschetta with tomato and fresh basil, chicken caesar salad and brodo di pollo, shredded smoked chicken with fettuccine, basil oil and peas in a chicken broth.
