Spaghetti House celebrate 55 years of bringing Italian home cooking to London

27th August 2010, 11:39am

The family-run Spaghetti House restaurant, which was set up by friends in 1955, is to celebrate its 55th anniversary this September.

The restaurant company that claims it has "introduced true Italian home cooking to London" is marking the occasion with special offers throughout September.

All guests who dine from any Spaghetti House menu on 6 September will be offered a complimentary glass of Prosecco to toast the company's 55th anniversary.

Then starting at 9am on 6 September until 10 September, the Spaghetti House website will be auctioning off 55 pasta dishes a day, in each of its largest restaurants, for just £1 each. The restaurants involved are Westfield London W12, Goodge Street W1, Sicilian Avenue and St Martin's Lane WC2, and Knightsbridge SW1.

The offer is valid for up to four people per booking, with the only condition that guests pre-book on line and order at least a starter or a dessert from the main a-la-carte menu, with their pasta dish for £1.

The menu of 24 pasta dishes in the special offer menu includes the restaurant's classic Spaghetti with San Marzano tomatoes and fresh basil along with Spaghetti House signature dish of Linguine with king prawns, white wine, garlic, chilli and wild rocket, will be up for grabs for only £1 – and served up in the usual portion size.

And for customers that can't manage to take advantage of the £1 offer there is the chance to take advantage of the Anniversary Menu. Featuring the best-loved dishes priced at £5.55 each, options include Bruschetta ai gamberoni piccanti - garlic and chilli prawns on toasted rustic bread and Linguine al salmone e cipollotto - with smoked salmon, cream, mascarpone and chives.

Guests who dine from this menu will also be offered a 'come back' £5.55 voucher per bill, to use on a future occasion.

All guests that sign up to the website are automatically entered into a draw to win £100 of vouchers each month, which can be exchanged for meals at any Spaghetti House.
