Spaghetti House boasts new contemporary retro style

Developed at a cost of £1 million, a new 168-seated Spaghetti House restaurant is set to open at Westfield London next month boasting a new retro style.
The interior will be reminiscent of the 'contemporary retro' style whilst remaining true to its original roots. The design is influenced by Stefana Lavarini, the company's marketing director and daughter of Simone Lavarini, co-founder of Spaghetti House.
Stefana said: "Going back to our family roots and resisting the appeal of trends and rollout interiors means getting to the heart of our brand, based on the heritage and evolution of the original site in Goodge Street, W1."
Breathing originality into the concept, a high seating counter will enhance the entrance, which will lead into the main restaurant with its temperature controlled wine display.
Unique features of the eatery include its striking combination of red leather banquettes, booth seating, dining tablea and poser tables coupled with iconic Italian images offset by dark wood display cabinets, ceramic textures and light wood floor finishes.
In addition to the restaurant, the Loft Terrace to the front and outside the main room will provide a sheltered al-fresco style of dining. Shoppers, cinema goers and local residents will be able to experience an informal, authentic family-run ristorante.
Meanwhile the menu will showcase modern Italian dishes, classics and home-made favourites. The trademark pasta dishes and stone-baked pizzas will sit alongside new regional specialities inspired by the chefs' recent workshop in Le Marche region of central Italy with chef Franco Taruschio, from the renowned Walnut Tree restaurant.
Dishes will be prepared using market fresh ingredients sourced from local suppliers or from specially imported premium Italian ingredients, under the culinary guidance of group head chef Marco Giordano.
Spaghetti House operates 10 restaurants across Central London.
