Space Design, which has designed every aspect of Pomodoro's brand over the last year, has creating a concept that draws from traditional elements of Italian culture presented in a modern contemporary style.
Unique features include the lighting, of which "bespoke chandeliers incorporating 25 wine bottles" have been used as well as the feeling of "freshness" when you visit the eatery. Subtle shades such as greens and vivid reds have been used to complement the fresh colours of the food ingredients used in the menu.
In addition, traditional design elements have been introduced such as the lime washed exposed brick walls and oak timber flooring to contrast with the contemporary open food counters and lighting.
Meanwhile on the menu, the venture offers an authentic Italian cuisine, complemented by a "unique" design creating a new dining experience.
A spokesperson at Space Designs said: "Walking on Finchley Road you are immediately delighted by Pomodoro's character. It truly captures the spirit of the Restaurant with the colour schemes and the signage with an illuminating fascia letter.
"The front of the restaurant has been specifically designed set back from the pavement to give cover for outside dining. Another feature is that the shop front fully opens across the whole width of the Restaurant - giving the feeling of alfresco dining to the whole Restaurant."
More Pomodoro's sites are already in the planning for 2011.
