Senior appointments at healthy eating chain Tossed

Healthy eating chain Tossed is strengthening its 100-strong team with its first two senior appointments.

Andrew Shanahan takes over as operations director, overseeing the day-to-day running of the units. He previously spent five years at Prêt-a-Manger where he was operations and development director. More recently he was managing director of LoveJuice.

Tossed has also appointed Neil Sebba as financial director.  Sebba's appointment follows Beringea's £1.5m venture capital investment, which he helped the existing management to raise.  He was previously with Cornerstone Corporate Finance, where he advised leisure and consumer-facing businesses on raising private equity funds.

Tossed founder Vincent Mckevitt, who started up the company just five years ago after spotting a gap in the market for a healthier fast casual offer, commented: "These key appointments reflect the next stage of the Tossed journey, as the company is now set to grow to around 20 units in the next three years."
