Bertorelli Restaurant at Argyll Street (Oxford Circus) W1 and Brasserie Gerard at Kensington High Street W8 become part of the Spaghetti House family with immediate effect.
Spaghetti House has confirmed that both acquisitions will continue to trade for a short time under their current brand names and will become Spaghetti House restaurants within four months.
Peppino Esposito, group operations director for Spaghetti House, said: "This is a very exciting time for Spaghetti House. Together with our refurbishment plans for 2012, these new acquisitions will increase our presence and profile in key landmark locations, and will be offering that true, authentic Italian cooking which sets us apart."
Still family owned after 56 years of trading in London, Spaghetti House has restaurants across the capital, from Knightsbridge to the edge of the City in Holborn, including the 168-seat branch at Westfield London, developed at a cost of £1m.
As well as transforming the current estate, the company is embarking on an extensive refurbishment of the original Spaghetti House which opened in Goodge Street in 1955, in the heart of Bohemian Fitzrovia. Other branches have also been earmarked for a facelift in 2012.
The two new acquisitions will bring the total number of restaurants to 12.
