The winner will be announced this October in nine categories including Best Customer Support, Best Innovation, Best Promotion and, new this year, Best Environmental Initiative.
The Awards are open to entries from all SIBA full brewing members.
Julian Grocock, SIBA chief executive, said: "The Business Awards are a great showcase for the entrepreneurial talent that is driving the success of the local brewing sector, which is showing growth despite the current downturn in total beer sales.
"Many skills are needed to run a successful brewery. Making great beer is one of them, but the Awards entries also demonstrate our members' flair for innovation, marketing, design and customer service. The number and standard of entries has risen steadily over the last few years and we're anticipating some difficult decisions at the judging stage."
Last year's overall winner was Everards Brewery for its 'Project William' initiative, which aims to regenerate closed or unstable pubs by collaborating with small brewers, giving them a 'fast track' to building a presence in their area.
Judges said it was "…a far-sighted innovation, and one of the very best examples of SIBA members of different sizes working together."
Since winning the Award, the scheme has flourished and there are now nine pubs, operated by four smaller brewers, up and running under the Project William umbrella.
Entries for the Business Awards are welcomed from now until the closing date of 30th August. The winners will be announced at an Awards ceremony held in London in October.
