The 176-room hotel is located on Broad Quay in the centre of the city, close to the old town and most of the city's cultural treasures, museums, theatres and Cabot Circus, plus directly opposite Colston Hall, the newly refurbished concert hall which has just opened its new extension.
Mark Willis, regional director for Radisson Blu UK explained further: "This new Bristol property is a great addition to our Radisson Blu portfolio in the UK and a significant opening in the South West, complementing the new Radisson Blu in Cardiff which opened in the summer. With the other new openings in the last year in Durham and Brighton, Radisson Blu now offers great UK-wide coverage and will be in a strong position to maximise opportunities in the market going into 2010."
The new hotel is housed in a blue glass 18-storey building, the second tallest in the city, and many of the 176 guest rooms offer views over the city.
Offering a choice of three room styles – Fashion, Chic and Fresh, the guest rooms are all air-conditioned and include 60 Business Class, nine disabled access rooms with adjoining twin rooms, plus five duplex suites situated on the top floor.
Leading up from the ground floor lobby and reception, a staircase leads up to Filini restaurant on the first floor. Offering contemporary Italian cuisine, Filini will open in a few weeks.
The hotel offers high-speed wireless internet access throughout, which is free for both residential guests and meeting delegates.
