RESTAURANT DESIGN FIRM ON THE UP AND UP

The north-east based design and installation firm Restaurant Design Associates (RDA) is celebrating a triumphant first quarter after achieving impressive sales figures, expanding into plush new premises and winning a score of lucrative new business deals.

Since opening in south Tyneside in 2007, the family-run company has acquired big-name clients including Costa Coffee and Whitehall. The prestigious deals have helped the home-grown business to expand its team of staff and move them into larger contemporary premises in Hebburn, south Tyneside.

The exciting move comes at the same time as the company reports satisfying sales figures which saw turnover top £1 million in the first year of trading, with that figure quadrupling in 2009.

Among its work for Costa Coffee, RDA has designed, project-managed and installed interiors for outlets UK-wide including Ealing, Winchester and Nottingham. It is now in the process of designing hospital outlets for the company in locations including Portsmouth, Broomfield and Birmingham.

RDA's success has prompted a busy year ahead for the company, including a brief to redesign the patient catering kitchens at Southampton Hospital as part of a £1 million contract.
