18th March 2011, 10:32am

More than 20 Punch pubs from across Staffordshire have teamed up to donate £3,000 to BBC Children In Need.

The teams from the Punch Pub Company venues, such as the Fradley Arms on Rykneld Street, chose to donate £3,000 to BBC Children In Need after being the first to complete a company survey.

Punch business development manager, Andrew Thomas, who covers the area in Staffordshire, commented: "We are delighted to add our support to BBC Children In Need. It's such a worthy cause that makes a huge difference to the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK."

Dawn Watts, BBC Children In Need regional officer, added: "We're extremely grateful to Punch Pub Company for its generous donation."
