10th September 2009, 11:41am

The Punch Pub Company has launched one of the largest e-learning projects in the UK thanks to its partnership with Thirdforce.

A massive 18,000 Punch team players are now training through e-learning in 871 pubs across the UK.

Through ThirdForce e-learning employees now have greater knowledge about their role in the kitchen and/or behind the bar, therefore are able to surpass regulatory safety requirements.

Punch also seen an improvement in their perfect kitchen scores and found that e-learning worked well with their teams, improving knowledge retention and fitted in with their working environment successfully.

Mark Peters, technical training manager for Punch Pub Company, said: "Going live with e-learning across the Punch pubs estate has initiated remarkable results. "We are over the moon with the uptake from our staff, they are all very keen to be a part of the e-learning offering. The Food Safety and Health & Safety courses are extremely motivating, simple and attractive to use and highly informative for our staff."

Marco Faccini, account director, hospitality division of ThirdForce added: "To work with Punch Pub Company compliments our ever growing portfolio of hospitality clients. It is great to work with a company that has such a strong commitment to its employee's wellbeing and professional development aligned to operational excellence. We look forward to working with them and creating further success through e-learning."
