Adam Przybylski, who is five years old, won Sodexo's Red Tractor competition by colouring in a farm scene featuring a big red tractor. He won his very own mini pedal tractor, donated by Massey Ferguson, which was presented to him at a special Red Tractor school assembly. As well as presenting the youngster with his prize, Penny Beauchamp from Red Tractor gave a talk about the scheme and the origin of food.
Pupils from more than 300 schools across the country took part in the competition, which ran throughout Red Tractor Week 2010 and was organised by Sodexo to promote the quality Red Tractor food that they offer across their schools.
The school's Headmistress Helen Frostick, said: "The Red Tractor assembly and talk helped to widen the children's understanding of the origins of food. We are proud to serve Red Tractor products in our school canteen."
Stephanie Wood from School Food Matters, added: "We're campaigning for fresh sustainable school food so it is heartening to visit a school that is serving Red Tractor produce. Food standards give parents confidence and this helps increase the number of families using the meal service. Well done St Mary Magdalen's!"
