In March 2011 Aldo Zilli teamed up with Prezzo.
Adjusted pre-tax profit was also up 12% to £14 million and chairman Michael Carlton said that the figures cement Prezzo's position as "one of the UK's leading restaurant operators".
Carlton added: "I believe that the steady trading and strong new openings of 2010 are testament to the growing stature of the Prezzo brand, a consequence of our attention to the design and detail of our stylish restaurants and the emphasis we place on menu development, service delivery and our value for money proposition.
"I am pleased to report that the first quarter of 2011 has started in an encouraging fashion and with a strong development pipeline in place, we are confident of delivering a positive outcome for the year ahead."
The brand opened 20 new sites in 2010 compared to just two in 2009.
Part of this growth came from Prezzo's first acquisition in August 2010 when it bought 11 leasehold sites from Caffe Uno Brasseries Limited for £3.1m.
Three restaurants were closed during the period and consequently at the end of the period there were 160 restaurants in the estate, with two of the acquired restaurants closed for refurbishment and due to reopen early in 2011.
Prezzo said it hopes to open a further 20 during 2011.
