The new

The new 'Pizza Parade' to be trialled in Flagship Huts.

Pizza Hut unveils fresh changes to its restaurant experience

19th August 2011, 5:13pm

Popular high street restaurant chain, Pizza Hut, has announced tweaks to its concept, which the company says will give diners an experience that is based around personality rather than product.

Pizza Hut, which is owned by international giant Yum! Brands, said it had asked regular customers about what's important to them when they eat out.

In a statement the restaurant chain said the new changes echo customer demand: "The design of our new Flagship Huts harnesses a high energy restaurant front and exciting entrance way. Iconic seating booths allow customers to relax with some privacy, while feature lighting and stylish wall displays provide the perfect atmosphere. We want customers to feel uninhibited, embraced and light-hearted."

There will be four 'Flagship Huts' which will trial the "next generation" of the Pizza Hut experience.

The restaurants are Enfield Leisure Park; Northampton Sixfields Leisure Park; Northampton Riverside Business Park; and Solihull Touchwood Shopping Centre.

One of the biggest changes to take place is the introduction of the weekday lunchtime 'Pizza Parade', which replaces the popular lunchtime buffet.

Pizza Parade is described by the company as a contemporary twist on the lunchtime buffet, where customers can still have unlimited pizza and pasta but food will now be delivered straight to the table by 'Pizza Paraders'.

New menu items will be introduced at the Flagship Huts including pizzas with an improved Italian dough, an increased choice of toppings and a larger regular size.

Pizza Hut is launching an 'Ultimate Garlic Bread' with new recipes including four cheese and bacon.

The company said: "Our menu focuses on craveable food and customisation. Customers can tailor any dish, which is our way of communicating the freshness and quality of the food."

In light of the Government's Responsibility Deal, Pizza Hut are launching a 'Pizzetta' with a thin crust base for under 500 calories.

The offers of kids eat free and free unlimited salad with any main meal, which were announced earlier this year, remain in place.
