Pie deal at London's top pubs

17th February 2009, 10:01am

Some of the finest pubs in London are inviting diners to tuck into a home made pie and a pint for just £10 to coincide with British Pie Week (2-8 March).

The Avalon, The Stonhouse and The Abbreville in Clapham, The Bollingbroke in Battersea and The White Hart in Kennington will all be offering the promotion from the 2nd to the 15th March.

Dishes available at all of these establishments will include rich rabbit pie with black pudding and prunes; and a Desperate Dan's favourite cow pie with braised steak oxtail, tongue and tripe.

Other flavour pies will include chicken, ham and tarragon; beef and chorizo; and cottage pie.

And to complement the pies will be the award-winning Timothy Taylor's Landlord pint. Guest ales also on offer will include Doombar from Cornwall, Bedford-brewed Bombardier and Edinburgh's Deuchars Caledonian.
