The six storey hotel has 137 contemporary guest rooms including accessible rooms for disabled guests and interconnecting rooms for families. The rooms are designed to be functional and easy to use and all offer laptop-size safes, air conditioning and flat-screen TV's showing multiple channels. Bathrooms have walk-in showers. The hotel also boasts six west-facing rooms with over-size balconies.
On the first floor is the RBG Bar and Grill. RBG, the new restaurant concept recently launched for the Park Inn brand and already open in Park Inn hotels including Manchester, Belfast, Cardiff City Centre and Peterborough, tempts guests with gourmet burgers, light bites and a choice of signature dishes from the grill.
Meanwhile the adjoining RBG Bar is perfect for a coffee whilst catching up with emails or for a cocktail.
Phillip Dark, regional director, Park Inn UK, commented: "We are delighted to open the new Park Inn Palace Hotel in Southend-on-Sea, which will be both a great addition to the hotel portfolio in the town and to Park Inn's UK hotel portfolio. The hotel has been well received in the town and I hope now the doors are finally open that the new hotel will meet and even exceed their expectations."
