Papillon's wine list proves to be a success

1st June 2007, 12:39pm

French restaurant Papillon, a new addition to the Chelsea culinary scene is enticing customers in with their extensive wine list.

Owned by Soren Jesson, the restaurant, which serves 'simple, honest and real food', has a wine selection that runs to 750 bins.

Papillon's manager and sommelier, Olivier Caisson decides which wines are served in the restaurant and plans to expand the current European list to wines from further afield.

Papillon's wine list caters for all palates and budgets including a Montravel Sec Domaine du Gouyat 2004 at £16.00 and a 1912 Tokaji Azsu 6 Puttonyos Crown Estates priced at £2,100.

Papillon offers a selection by the glass, which encourages sampling and they will soon launch a Gastronomic Menu that matches the food with the wine.
