PUT THE ‘FIZZ’ INTO YOUR DESSERT

30th June 2008, 4:41pm

New from Erlenbacher is the truly luscious Royal Champagne Gateaux – perfect for pubs, restaurants and banqueting occasions.

The body of the cake is delicately rippled with Marc Du Champagne, which gives an exquisite flavour in the mouth.  A peach cream nestles between light and dark biscuit layers on a crispy short-crust pastry base before being coated in sumptuous cream icing.  This is then hand-finished with white chocolate shavings and little rings of dark creamy nougat and the sides garnished with chopped almonds.

The gateaux comes packed one to a case (not pre-portioned) and weighs 2kg giving 16 generous servings.  Guide price: £1-17 per portion.

The Erlenbacher range has been developed specially as the ultimate in frozen, continental patisserie products.   It includes tartes, cheesecakes, gateaux, pies and cakes made from premium, all-butter ingredients to mirror the high standards of the recipes.  All products are available to caterers through delivered wholesalers.

Erlenbacher is just one range in the expansive Schöller Dessert portfolio.   Alongside Mövenpick, Fischer and Christophe Delmotte, it represents a premium offer and great value for establishments.
